Embracing the Catfish Deity

Javier, who studies folklore at university, has returned to his hometown during his summer vacation. His home village is an old-fashioned place with a deep-rooted belief in the worship of catfish. When he goes to meet his childhood friend and first love, Ryosuke, he is intrigued to hear that Ryosuke will participate in the "village ritual." The ritual is a traditional ceremony where the villagers believe that the spirit of the catfish god can temporarily possess a chosen person, including Ryosuke, however, the said "village ritual' is not what he seems to be.
