The witch’s memoir

Lily, a dark witch, was captured and brought into the castle during a witch hunt when she was young. Even now, as an adult, she is still being used for the king’s power. She endures each day, living under the simultaneous gaze of fear and contempt. Then, one day, she meets a new court jester. Unlike other jesters, this one constantly flatters, which she finds displeasing, but the jester shows kindness to her. Why does the jester show kindness to the witch? Will the witch be able to reclaim her freedom?
