Mun Jeong-in, a young orphan, was trapped in his own silent world – terrified that any sound would draw the monster to him. But then, a towering, emotionless figure appeared as his guardian – Jang Beom-yeong.

Though unfamiliar with children, Beom-yeong's innate patience coaxed the shy boy out of his shell. With unwavering support, he enabled Jeong-in to live freely like the other kids.

However, Jeong-in remained blissfully unaware that his newfound freedom was confined only to the pond meticulously controlled by Beom-yeong. It was in his middle school years that Jeong-in began to sense a darker undercurrent to their relationship.

Beom-yeong's fixation on the vulnerable Jeong-in had grown beyond mere guardianship. The lines blurred – was Jeong-in the one ensnared, or was Beom-yeong the one enthralled?

One fateful day, an incident during a school trip left Jeong-in injured, marking a pivotal shift in this twisted dynamic between guardian and orphan.
